John 10. Jesus describes himself as the door to a right relationship with the father, and as the good (or model) shepherd for humanity, which again angered the Pharisees and pushed them to take up stones to kill him.

John 9. Jesus heals a man born blind and gives the spiritual answer to why he was afflicted in this way.

John 8. Jesus forgives the woman caught in adultery and has a powerful conversation with those who brought her to him.

John 7. Jesus makes his presence known at the culmination of the holiday known as Booths, and proclaims to all who would drink that He can satisfy their thirst for eternal things.

John 6. Jesus feeds the 5000 with only 2 fishes and 5 loaves when His disciples entrusted only what they had to His care.

John 5. Jesus heals a paralytic on the sabbath, which infuriated the Pharisees, and opened a discourse about the divinity of Christ.

John 4. While passing through a dangerous region, Jesus meets a woman at a remote well who is thirsty for living water and confronts her with the life-changing knowledge that He is the messiah.

John 2-3. Jesus performs his first miracle as his mother submits to his authority, and pointedly presents God’s master plan for the world to a respected Pharisees.

John 1. The apostle John begins his accounting of the life of Jesus by establishing the eternal existence of His being before anything else existed of was created.

Luke 24. Jesus is risen! He appears to his disciples and followers along the Emmaus road, then is taken up into heaven.

Luke 23. Luke records the crucifixion of Jesus with unique events only found in this gospel.

Luke 21-22. Jesus demonstrates His humanity in the final days of His earthly ministry as he faces common human problems of betrayal, disappointment, emotional stress, and physical suffering.

Luke 19-20. Jesus meets a wee little man in a sycamore tree and invites him to enter into a personal relationship just like he is.

Luke 16-18. Jesus teaches about faithfulness in little things and the role of servants in His kingdom.

Luke 14-15. Jesus shares a famous and timeless parable about a wayward son who returns home and the revealing consequences the event exposes

Luke 12-13. Jesus gives the parable of the arrogant farmer who planned to tear down his barns and build bigger ones on the very night his soul would be required of him.

Luke 10-11. The model prayer from Jesus, and some guidelines for spending time with the Father.

Luke 8-9. Jesus gives the parable of all parables: the parable of the sower and the seed.

Luke 6-7. Jesus cautions that what measure we use to judge others will become the same measuring stick that will be used on us.

Luke 4-5. Jesus is tempted in the wilderness, then returns home to Nazareth where He is not well received by those who viewed him as the child of Joseph the carpenter. Jesus begins to do more miracles and calls the apostle Peter in a dramatic way.
